As soon as we unpacked after our Thanksgiving trip, we dug out all the Christmas decor.
Owen, of course, doesn't remember this event from last year.
He was as thrilled and excited as his big brothers to be finding such treasures.
...like Dollar Tree beaded garland. 😀
Cousins Kyndall and Lexa had recently taught him all about wearing beads as a necklace.
He liked the ornaments too. He actually got a few on the tree!
He also got a wreath onto himself!
The boys had a great time decorating the tree. They're getting taller and can reach more of it now.
But perhaps still needed a little help. :)
I should take this same photo every year to measure their growth. Ha.
G'ma Debbie bought Coop a tiny tree for his room when he was about Owen's age. This got set up in Owen's room this year.
Which was SO exciting for him. He spent the entire Christmas season decorating it and un-decorating it.
The final touch to the big tree is always the star. We actually had to search the ole blog to see who got to put it on last year. So let me add a few key words for next year's search: Cooper put the star on the tree in 2016. 😂😂
But the light wasn't working. Once that was fixed...
Progress resumed.
Owen, the copy cats of all copy cats, went to his room to mess with his star too.
Just before he started to un-deck the halls everywhere in the house.
He actually did a good job of leaving decorations alone. He's a particular personality, who likes things as they should be. In fact, I moved a snowman across the room one day to see if I liked it better over there... he soon noticed and went to put it back!
Now, I need to teach him that the votive candles aren't miniature drinking glasses. Then maybe someday we can actually light the candles!
