Weird Al: Live!

Derek has (strategically?) encouraged the boys interest in Weird Al Yankavic's music.  Haha.  In July, he surprised the boys with tickets to a Weird Al concert about a month before the event.  They could hardly contain their excitement for that long.

We looked all over for crazy print/Hawaiian shirts, but couldn't find any that weren't ridiculously priced.  So, we resorted to making some custom shirts with their favorite song titles on them.

Derek came home from work a little early so that they could make the two hour drive. They loaded up and headed out.  A bit excited. :)

Owen and I decided to run some errands after they left.  We went to Hobby Lobby where we saw Beanie Boos.

I found out just how much Owen likes them, maybe he's just copying his brothers..

This is all his own idea though.  He put a basket on his head and smiled.  He knows he's funny.

A couple hours after the big guys left, we got a text saying they'd arrived at the venue.

They found their seats...

And the waiting game began.

I think they were there an hour before, which is forever to a kid, right?

Miles sent me a couple photos of the theater they were in.  He thought it was amazing.

Owen and I wrapped up our outing at Dollar Tree where I didn't put him in a cart.  He tried out his new freedom by playing with the dog toys.

And scrubbing the floor with a toilet brush.

Later, we started receiving texts of the concert!  They got to hear so many of their favorite songs.

And Weird Al came down off the stage for a song so they saw him close up.

The concert started at 8pm, so it was a late night for the boys.  You can see Cooper yawn near the beginning of this video.  But you can also tell they had SO much fun!  And both of their "T-Shirt" songs were played!

Concert over, lives fulfilled (ha), they were ready to head home.

It didn't take long before they were sound asleep!

Derek brought them in asleep and they didn't wake up until morning.
That's when the brothers were reunited.

Hugs all around!

The big boys made thank you cards for Daddy that day.  They loved this experience!
