The Ocean Commotion VBS had theme days. Hat Day, Sunglasses Day, Crazy Sock Day and Inside Out Day. And on last morning, the kids were supposed to wear their department color to VBS. Cooper knew he was yellow, but Miles had no idea. So, we packed a shirt of every possible color and it's a good thing because at drop off, we found out his, "I think it's red" was wrong. It was blue!
That was the day of the closing program, so Owen and I came back shortly to watch the kids sing. When the blue group got up, I couldn't find Miles anywhere. It was so many kids that I assumed he was behind someone. Then found out afterword that he got stage fright and never went up. (insert eye roll. clown.)
Cooper was looking for him too. He didn't realize he didn't go up either.
Thankfully Cooper did, and in full view!
Owen even pointed him out. :)
So we watched him sing and do actions to the song.
You can watch the whole song, but be warned, I recorded the whole things so it's over two minutes long.
Then it all wrapped up and we walked through the tunnel one last time to head home.
And shortly after we got home, Derek did!
We were all so glad to see him, and Owen gave him the sweetest hug!
All together again! And just in time to host Life Group that night! Whew.
