Our Memorial Day Weekend started off with Saturday morning baseball. Cooper was recognized for his sportsmanship, one of the best kind of 'award' there is, if you ask me.
Later, we attended a graduation party. It was a luau theme and we did this...
(Miles didn't wish to participate.)
We stopped at Bass Pro Shop on the way home.
ohhhh the wonder of BPS.
Next Derek needed to go to a co-worker's farm to get some footage of a deer food plot. He took the big boys with him.
Four Wheeler rides for all!
They also found a Sasquatch mailbox! :)
Sunday afternoon, the big boys helped me paint patriotic shirts. We decided to do our Independence Day shirts now and get two uses out of them.
Owen managed to keep himself busy.
And wasn't really into it when we tried to get a photo of the finished product on Monday.
The big boys also helped Daddy make some venison sausage that day.
Then we headed off to some friend's for their annual Memorial Day cookout.
The kids played games.
Derek and I chased Owen.
Though we did have a little help!
Emily is our "Baby-Sitter in Training".
I'm counting down the days until she can drive. Only five more years. Ha.
Then, the highlight of the night for the kids... the piñata!
They took turns from youngest to oldest.
Cooper's group was blindfolded.
Owen just got to watch.
Someone toward the top of the age groups busted it open and the frenzy began.
The kids posed for a photo then ran off to play again.
That's when I saw Derek sorting through the goods.
Busted!
We had a good weekend, but also say Thank You to all who have fought for the freedoms we enjoy!
