Second and Third Winter

Our weather has been so back and forth here in Central Illinois.  It warmed up and we thought spring had arrived.  Then it got cold and felt like winter again.  It warmed up, then it snowed a little.  I guess that's just part of living in the midwest...  We have had a few days to enjoy being outside.  We introduced Owen to the grass.

Which he tried to taste.

So we did a lot of chasing around for fun.

And stopping him from eating whatever he could find.

After a  while, we decided to put him in his swing instead.  He loved it!

Speaking of love... rollerblading is a current obsession at our house.

Since our trampoline has a net around it, we let Owen on to crawl around.

And just because they got to wear warm weather clothes to church...
And because they still let me pick out their clothes...

Another way we took advantage of a warm day, was to take lunch to the park.

Where we'd barely stalled our food when Cooper found a toad.

Cooper & Miles had brought along their fishing poles, so they ate in record time, anxious to get a hook in the water.

But even though we could see all the little blue gill, they either didn't want our bait or were too small for our hooks.  They caught nothing.

They didn't give up easily though, while they spent way too long trying, Owen went for a swing.

We finally got the big brothers to change activities and took a quick roll around the lake.

Just a leisurely stroll for Owen.

And good exercise for the big guys.

We're looking forward to more nice days and...
SUMMER!
