The Sunday following Cooper's birthday, we brought a few boys home with us after church to play. We didn't call it a birthday party, but Cooper planned a fun day.
We had to drive two cars to fit everyone in on the way home...
You can probably tell how Miles felt about having to ride home with Mommy and Owen.
Cooper had decided he really wanted an ice cream cake. I wasn't willing to pay the money that Dairy Queen asks for one (!!!) so I made one myself!
Cooper was completely satisfied with that!
A few more friends came throughout the afternoon and were there in time to sing to Cooper.
And the cake was a hit!
(Though I do have ideas on how to improve the next one! ha)
It was nice enough for the boys to play outside for a while.
It didn't take long though and they were soon back inside playing with Legos.
There was a lot of Lego playing.
And even a few rounds of Pie Face!
Since it was Super Bowl Sunday, we invited all the boys' families over to watch the game in the evening. Somehow, this is the only photo I got. Well, the only photo that doesn't show our friends' seven month old foster girls, who I'm not allowed to put on the internet. :)
It was a fun day/evening! And by the end of the night, Owen decided to add to the excitement and prove he can navigate the stairs. Up only, of course! Yikes!
