Wichita State Basketball Game 2016

We've made a fun tradition of attending the Bradley University basketball game when the Wichita State Shockers come to town.  The first week in January we arrived at the Civic Center and Cooper spotted the Shocker players warming up.

On our way to find our seats, we saw our neighbors, who have season tickets, and gave us tickets to this game!  Thanks, Joe & Carol!

We made our way to our seats and got ready for the game to start.
Owen was excited for his first Shocker Game! :)

Things got underway and we cheered for our team.  There are always a few other Shocker fans to be heard, but we are obviously still cheering for the visiting team.

Owen got a little restless at times.

But was sound asleep for his afternoon nap by halftime.
(It was a 1pm game.)

Speaking of halftime, that's when Derek took the boys get snacks.  And also when the gentleman sitting next to me saw them returning, and turned to me and said, "You're going to need a napkin, Mom, he's wearing that.". Ha!  Cooper had tripped on his way back up the stairs and gotten nacho cheese all over the front of himself!

There was still enough left to dip his chips in though!

And everyone was seated again in time to watch the dog and frisbee show!

Toward the end of the game, they dropped what seemed like hundreds of little Chick-fil-A cows with parachutes from the rafters.  And the man behind us patted his program on Owen's head to entertain him. We've always had friendly people around us at these games!  Everyone has been more than kind to a family wearing the opposing teams apparel. At one point when Owen was grabbing Miles' pretzel un-noticed, this man said, "This is better than the game!".

Last year a friendly Bradley fan gave us a shirt they'd caught from the t-shirt cannon.
This year, mostly because Derek is tall, we ended up with one of the parachuting cows.

And our team ended up winning!

Another great time at the WSU vs Bradley game!
