While the boys were away, Derek and I found quite a bit to do to stay busy! It was perfect timing in getting ready for the baby and working on extra projects. I started with quite a to-do list and knocked it off it great time! I also used the kid-free days for "me time" and do things like browse Hobby Lobby while sipping coffee. :)
We also fit a in a couple dates, once trying out a local place that served water in a cute mason jar.
Then went to see a movie. Something we don't usually choose for date night if we have a sitter, but with a whole week kid-free, it was a fun treat!
We (as in Derek) also spent a lot of some time updating the bathroom.
And prepping for to put in the freezer for after the baby is born.
There were other fun things... like a Life Group fishing night.
Which the boys were pretty upset they were missing out on!
They enjoy their LG friend a lot and were bummed to miss the fun.
Especially after I sent them a picture of my catch. Ha.
I did some baby laundry and packed a hospital bag.
And we really had a blast when we drove to the local carwash that has free vacuums to clean out the cars! Adulting is super fun.
I also took a little "me-time" to check out our neighborhood Farmer's Market.
And one night a group of my friends took me out for dinner and showered me with some fun little gifts. (How did I not get a photo?!) This gift proves I have some friends that understand the last weeks of pregnancy. :)
Derek and I also snuck over to this little food truck near our house one night.
Where we enjoyed yummy crepes!
And snuck in one last lunch/brunch after church on Sunday before the boys came home.
(this is Derek's smoked salmon eggs Benedict)
Along with yet another trip to the hardware store...
Adulting.
