March 18th was once year since Miles' tonsillectomy. So we took him out for ice cream (after AWANA) to celebrate. Mac & Cheese probably would have been a more appropriate celebration, since that's all he would eat after surgery, but ice cream was more fun!
We all enjoyed some ice cream at The Spotted Cow.
And Miles acted like his normal goofy self.
Recovery after his surgery was rough, but we feel it was so worth it. His tonsils were removed because of his sleep apnea and it fixed all the issues we'd hoped it would! Miles no longer snores or stops breathing while sleeping, those were the big ones! And in addition to that, he gets better quality sleep and is more rested, and has gotten sick a lot less in the last year. He is also no longer wetting his bed, which was a symptom of sleep apnea. We won't celebrate this every year, I'm sure, but it worked out this year... :)
