We got up and around on our first morning in San Jose and headed to a little bakery down the street from Anna's house. We enjoyed scones, quiche, crescants and lattes. And it was so good!
Next we made the drive into the city and headed to rent bicycles.
We got going and rode around Fisherman's Wharf.
There was one dock full of sunbathing sea lions.
Anna was very gracious to let me hop off my bike and take photos often. :)
We saw Alcatraz.
And as we headed on along the bay, up and down hills of San Francisco, we also saw the Ghirardelli factory.
And of course, sailboats.
We started to get close enough to the Golden Gate Bridge to take photos.
A photo obviously doesn't capture how fun it was to see it in person!
As we started across the bridge, I took lots of pictures.
And we took a little time to enjoy the view.
Then headed on our way.
My sisters asked me to lead for most of it, so that I could stop to take pictures when I wanted. Ha, they know me so well.
And even obliged me for yet another sister selfie.
We rode across the bridge and into Sausalito on the other side.
...where we got some refreshment
And lunch. Maybe it was because we'd just finished a 13 mile bike ride, but it was the best fish and chips I've ever had! Mmmmmmm.
