"Christmas"

If you're a long time follower of this blog, you might remember that we celebrate Christmas with our little family before  we leave town to celebrate in Wichita.  And you might also remember that we typically do a "Christmas" Eve dinner and open gifts, then open stockings on our "Christmas" morning.  This year, the schedule was tight all around and we also had a Life Group game night (But if I don't have pictures, did it really happen?! Ha) on the only night available to be our "Christmas" Eve.  But we pulled it together and got everything ready.

And had "Christmas" on a Saturday before we left town Sunday morning.
The boys didn't wake up super early, but as soon as they were awake they were excited.

We started out with (coffee and) the Christmas story.

Cooper manned the camera a bit.

But handed it back over when it was time to rip into a gift.

And then another.

And Legos.

Something for Daddy...  a book.

And something for Mommy... a lipstick taser.  :)  Or a portable phone charger.

And a pink Bass Pro Shop hat.

The boys got a game.

And Wild Kratts toys.
Which they didn't even know existed until then.  I kept them a secret!

They also got quite a catch...

And soon moved onto stockings.

This is always a fun free for all.

But Miles was soon back to his Wild Kratts creatures.

And Legos.  We did a lot of Legos that day.

Cooper had asked for origami paper.  Then he worked on some with the help of YouTube.

While Miles tried out a gift too.

Cooper had a ninja throwing star soon.

It was a good day spent relaxing in pajamas, playing games and getting ready to leave for our trip to Wichita.
