Going Fishing

Weekends are for fishing.
Or waiting for Daddy to finish a project so he'll take boys fishing.

After practicing patience, it was time to head to the pond!

Miles wanted to carry a tackle box.
(for about six steps)

Lines in the water!

Cooper had a bite on his second cast!

He pulled in what he has been referring to as "A Monster" ever since!

There was a lot of excitement.

He could hardly hold it up.

It was big!

Good job, Cooper!

Fish caught by Mleynek boys get quite the look over.

Miles got to hold it before Cooper threw it back.

Derek caught a nice one too.
...but not as big as Cooper's.

It got a good look over too though.

And it's eyeball touched.  :-/

And a little hug before it made it back in the water.

Miles likes to change his bait often.

And can now put his own power bait on his hook.

But even with all his hard work "keeping an eye on his bobber"...

The only thing he took off his hook was moss and weeds.

Once he put this bait on he had fun pretending he was pulling a fish in every time.

Daddy got one more.

And since Miles hadn't reeled in his own, he got to pose with Daddy's.

Fishing has become more relaxing for me as the boys are more self sufficient.

We all enjoyed ourselves.
