The boys have been attending AWANA every Wednesday evening since fall. Last Wednesday was the final night and was the awards night and program. The Sparks (K-2nd) opened with a few songs.
Then the Cubbies (Preschool) took the stage:
Miles, along with his class, recited some verses and sang some songs. Derek and I had dropped him off in his classroom then he came to the sanctuary with his teacher and class. Derek and I were seated off to the side, so Miles had no idea we were in there watching him on stage, he didn't see us! He did see Cooper however... I know because he made sure Cooper knew he was watching him sitting with his class. Miles made a "two" with his little hand, pointed them at his own eyes and then at Cooper! You know, similar to this:
Then Miles got his award and goodies.
His teacher pointed him in our direction and told him to go sit with us.
That was when he finally saw us!
He made out well! And was so proud of his ribbon.
Cooper's group went up again for awards, followed by the T&T girls then boys.
Miles entertained himself with his new glowsticks.
Some of them ended up around Daddy's beard.
As soon as the program was over, these two found each other and oooooed and awwwwwwed over each other's ribbons.
Both boys were very proud of them!
Then we ate ice cream sandwiches before heading home.
