Snowboarding 101

We've had a lot of snow around here this winter.
Derek decided to strap Cooper into my snowboard and give him a little ride.

He loaded everyone up and hauled them to the neighbor's yard where there is a small hill.

My boots are a little big for him and the board a bit long, but Cooper was ready.

Derek helped him get started and he went down a few times.

Apparently the ride across the yard was enough for Miles.

He spent his time outside like this.
Too scared to ride the sled down the hill... yes, he has my genes for sure!

He played around in the snow a little...

And then came inside requesting a drink of water.
(After Derek stopped him from knocking on the neighbor's door to ask for one.)

And then told me he had a frost bite right here.

So we watched the snowboarding action from the window together.

Meanwhile, Cooper was trying to talk Daddy into letting him try to ramp off the landscaping.

And although Derek says he might be a natural...
he's also very over confidant as seen in the following video:

After a while Derek talked Cooper into taking a break.  He reluctantly came inside and warmed up with some hot cocoa watching the Olympics... where he's getting ideas of snowboard jumps in the first place.
We left this TV in the kitchen, still hooked up to a potato, after the Super Bowl and have enjoyed having the Olympics on in the kitchen. HA.

  1. My head says it knows what makes the snowboard work, but my body is reluctant. I need a "hill" that size! GO COOP!
