Merry Moments - Wichita State Basketball Game

Derek and I got to go to a Wichita State Basketball game while in Wichita!
I'll tell you about the game but first let me tell you a short story...  During our drive home from Iowa for Thanksgiving I had the idea that maybe Derek and I could try to go to the Shocker game that would take place during the time we planned to be in Wichita.  I looked up tickets and prices and we decided we didn't want to spend the money.  A couple weeks later a friend who has season tickets to WSU games posted on Facebook that they had a conflict and couldn't attend the game. So instead of selling them, he was going to find out who was interested and then draw the names of people who left a comment and give the winner the tickets!  I left a comment and Derek and I ended up winning the tickets!  Thanks, Chris (and Joy)!

And because he had so many people show interest in them, our friend purchased more tickets when the general admission tickets came available.  Two of those tickets he gave to my sister, Mandy, and her hubby, Jonathan.  So we all got to go together!

Since we chose the general admission tickets over the season pass tickets, seating was first come-first served for our section.  We got there over an hour early and got seats in row 11.

So we had some time to watch the team warm up.

And in row 11, we had a great view once the game started too.
This shot was taken with my phone with no zoom!

We had a good view of WuShock too!  Go Shockers!

During the game our friend text Derek and asked if TV cameras added ten pounds to a beard.  Then he posted this photo he'd captured from tv on Facebook.  If only I were a little taller.  :)

We had a blast and WSU won the game.  Making them 12-0! (13-0 now!!)

With the game over, we said goodbye to Mandy & Jonathan.

And Derek and I decided to extend our date and grab pizza at Old Chicago.

We got back to his parents and my boys were having a great time playing video games.

It was a fun evening and we really enjoyed the game.
Thanks again, Chris!!
