We looked out the window on Monday afternoon to see white flakes falling from the sky again! And unlike last time, it was sticking a little. I didn't think it would amount to much, but when we tucked the boys in for the night, there was a white covering on everything outside.
I was actually surprised when everything was still white when we looked out the next morning. The boys talked me into letting them 'go make tracks' before starting school... mostly because I was sure it would be melted by lunch time. (It actually didn't completely melt for 24hrs)
Even though it was fine for making tracks, it wasn't any good for snowballs.
But that didn't stop these guys from throwing it at each other.
They checked out the swing set covered in snow.
Cooper decided to make a snow angel.
They chased each other around some more...
And Miles decided he wanted to make a snow angel. Right here...
So he laid down.
And wiggled his arms around... as Cooper showed him the motions.
Then got up so they could approve his work.
Then Cooper ran towards me and did a somersault in the snow.
Two days after he'd busted his head open when he hit it on a door jam.
Thankfully no more damage was done and no bleeding occurred after the somersault.
It was a fun few minutes of what we'll call P.E. early in the morning.
Also educational because our lesson for the week was "W is for Water" and part of our lesson included learning about water in different forms. Including SNOW!
