Bicycle Safety Town

The boy often see the Bicycle Safety Town as we drive by.  But Miles didn't have a bike so we hadn't been over to check it out yet.  I tracked one down and Derek picked it up on his way home from work one day...

It took Miles a minute to realize there was a bike and that it was for him.

But in no time, Daddy strapped a helmet on him...

And helped him climb on.

Now we're ready to check out Bicycle Safety Town!

Once there, Cooper was off and riding immediately.

He did stop for a photo op...   probably because he's done it his whole life? :)
He's a good boy.

Miles wasn't so sure about riding this bike with pedals.

So while Cooper tried to cover every road...

Miles just practiced simply making the bike go forward.

Cooper's speed did catch up with him in the form of road rash.

And though he tries to deny it, it might have had to do with that guy
standing on the overpass squirting water at unsuspecting cyclists.  Ha.

Cooper wasn't bothered.  The next trip to Bicycle Safety Town, he could be heard yelling, "Wahoo, that was fun!" as he zipped down the ramps.  While Miles could be heard nervously repeating, "I will not go off the road, I will not go off the road...".

There is a playground too.

Which is nice when it's time for a break.

Ummm... maybe not a break really if you're just chasing rabbits around.

They always get away under the fence though.

Our conclusion:  Bicycle Safety Town is a lot of fun!
