Cooper had his much anticipated first soccer game... without ever having attended a practice. His team is the "Fireballs" which funny enough, is the name of the first soccer team Derek played on! We got there a little early and watched the game before his. And then it was time for warm ups. We could tell pretty quickly that Cooper didn't miss much info at practice. It was just a bunch of fun chaos from the get go.
Once the game started... just more cute chaos.
Miles had a seat in the nose bleed section.
He is seriously Cooper's biggest fan!
When Cooper came over to hydrate...
Miles gave him a lot of high fives.
Only once did he escape Daddy and run onto the field to hug Coop.
Thankfully it was during a dead ball.
Cooper chased the ball pretty well and got a kick at it now and then.
He got to do an inbound kick.
And a corner throw.
Miles found a little friend that shared her ball with him.
When I told him not to use his hands, this is how he picked up the ball... resourceful!
And then the game was over and more high fives were given.
Oh, and snacks. Those were given too.
I think that might have been Cooper's favorite part of the game.
Since that first game he's gotten to play goalie.
And made it to a practice.
Much more soccer fun to come! We'll be at the field every Saturday morning and Monday evening until the middle of June!
Looks like fun!! It brings back memories too of when the kids started playing soccer (aka herd ball). I think it is cool girls and boys are on the same team.
