I've decided to start from the beginning of our journey.
And hopefully not take too long to walk you through our trip!
When I got suitcases out to start packing,
Miles decided to secure his spot on the trip to Grandma's house.
Then he got serious about packing and got all his Cars ready to go.
Bright and early the boys and I hit the road...waving goodbye to Derek.
(He had a train ticket to join us in Wichita for the wedding weekend.)
When we go without Derek, we like to break up the trip and stop for the night in Kansas City. It's fun to see Derek's Aunt & Uncle too... so KC bound we were. We make quite a few pit stops along the way.
You know.... for necessities.
And even with way too many stops, we still made it to Kansas City in pretty good time.
Just in time to sit in traffic.
We were glad to make it to Aunt Brenda's house and stretch out.
And shoot a few hoops.
Or just mow the basketball court.
It was a little chilly so we decided to head inside and play more games.
But when Uncle Bruce got home the boys went back out to help him grill dinner.
Although their dinner wasn't on the grill.
Aunt Brenda knows their favorites and served them all.
Corn, chicken nuggets, strawberries and tater-tots!
After dinner Cooper challenged Uncle Bruce to more games.
Miles watched... what? You didn't see him?
There was coloring and painting too.
Yep, Aunt Brenda is good at finding things to keep these guys busy!
Ryan had a baseball game so he got home later in the evening.
The first thing the boys did was talk him into letting them play with his helicopter.
Ryan was a good sport and let Cooper fly and crash it a few times.
Thanks, Ryan! Cooper loves this thing!
Aunt Brenda played Monopoly Jr (Toy Story edition) with the boys before bed.
Thanks, Donnelly's!! Always fun to see you and break up our trip!
You are always welcome & we love having you stay!!!
