Independence Day - The Parade

After we ate omelets in town we all headed back out to the farm.
It was time to get the tractors ready for the parade.
This is only a few of Grandpa Gordie's collection of antique tractors!

Then the tractor drivers headed to town.
(Pretty sure this is Derek's favorite part of driving in the parade)

They got lined up and ready to go.

While we, the spectators, found a seat along Main Street.

Where as soon as the parade started, my boys were scooping up candy.

And waving to all the people in the parade.

Like the firemen.

Mostly so that they would throw them more candy!

Miles took a little snack break.

There was a lot to see.

Like the Corn Kings... one of my personal favorites.

And big machinery.

And horses.

And...  "our" tractors!

There's Mikiah, Dale and (Mik's friend) Abree.

As they went by, Dale took pictures of my boys watching... this cracked me up.

And Lauren and Tyler...who had just taken a drink of water.
Sorry, Ty, but this was the best picture of Lauren and that's what counts.  :)

AND DEREK!
(who threw a ton of candy to the boys)

And Grandma/Debbie:

A fun time spent on Main Street.
...with Grandpa Don and Grandma Neva too.
