We headed for Iowa to celebrate Independence Day... and what's a better way than with fireworks? We hadn't purchased any yet and thought we'd stop at a fireworks stand along the way. (We used to drive through Missouri where we'd stock up on the way to Iowa) Well...we didn't see any stands and were in Iowa before we knew it...where firework sales are illegal. We sent an S.O.S. text to Tyler who did stop in Missouri on his way to Iowa and was kind enough to get some for us too.
Cooper's hero, Uncle Ty.
And Miles wants to do everything Cooper does. Like take a picture with Uncle Ty.
Miles later realized why Uncle Ty was Cooper's hero...
He loved the poppers he got out of the deal!
He would throw one down and when it popped exclaim, "I did it!".
Cooper got a little help from Daddy...
And then got to light a few fireworks on his own.
And then they boys enjoyed watching the show.
And after a few more "light it and run"'s...
And a few more, "I did it"'s...
It was considered a successful firework session.
