The Big Guy

We made our annual trip to the Bass Pro Shop to see Santa.

Miles looks a bit unsure in this photo, but the boys both enjoyed meeting the big guy.

We went in the afternoon, so there was hardly anyone else there and no line. Cooper lingered a while on Santa's lap discussing what he wants for Christmas and a few other matters of importance.  And when they started talking about the reindeer right behind them, Cooper LOUDLY exclaimed, "My Dad shot a big buck!"!!  I guess with the Santa at Bass Pro Shop, that kind of statement is acceptable.  Even in the presence of reindeer...

After we convinced Cooper to hop down off Santa's lap,

we moved onto the other entertainment.

Daddy helped Cooper figure out how to shoot this little bow:

And then he took it from there.  He was actually a pretty good shot!

Miles enjoyed his gift from Santa while Cooper shot ducks.

Then he advised Cooper about how to control the train.

Cooper went to Awana that night and made a turkey picture with things he's thankful for:
