House

This is a picture of our house when we bought it in 2006.

There has been a faux balcony on the front of our house for five years longer than I'd planned.  In fact, when we pulled up to the house to look for the first time I remember telling Derek, "That would have to go if we bought this house".  Well... our insurance got us a new roof this summer because of hail damage.  And the roofers broke part of the 'balcony'.  That got the ball rolling.  Derek went to it and took the whole thing down!

Our insurance also gave us some money for paint on the damaged garage doors.

So we decided it was finally time to paint the whole house.

The boys have loved having Daddy outside so much...

It means a lot of time outside for everyone.

I'm extremely happy with how the house turned out!  It's not quite finished since all the sudden it feels like winter outside and we weren't done.  But it looks great and I'm so excited.  Our insurance will also pay for new gutters and a front screen door.  So a few more projects to go and it will look even better.  Yay!
