We had a fun weekend joining in on the Shawnee Mission South High Homecoming.
Derek's cousin, Megan, was a candidate for homecoming queen.
Then we ran and frantically got her ready for the next thing...
Being introduced with all the candidates:
The pep assembly was during the day so Derek was at work.
Cookies help too:
Friday night we went to a pre-game reception for the candidates and families.
Miles loves having Great Grandparents around... especially when cake is involved!
Then we snapped a bunch more pictures.
Cooper checked out Ryan's yellow cast
...which had WAY more signatures by the nights end!
Ryan is a freshman at SMS and broke his arm in a football game the week before.
After the reception we headed out to the football game.
It was a perfect night for sitting at a game... wonderful weather.
Megan and her parents were introduced with the candidates at half time.
Megan didn't win but had fun being and candidate and all that goes along with it.
And my boys had a great time cheering on the Raiders!
Cooper must have yelled, "Go Raiders!" while fist pumping about 104 times.
Only a couple times did he accidentally yell, "Go Huskers!" :)
And we got to meet Rocky the mascot. A great end to a great night.
Cooper hasn't stopped talking about how when he grows up he's going to play football.
...and break his arm!
That's cute Cooper wants to be a football player. I hope he doesn't break his arm though!!
