My Mom sent me pictures to keep me updated throughout the week of Granny Camp.
So here is a small update on what went on.
Most days started out with some fishing with Papa.
Cooper told us all about the fish he caught, but I guess Papa didn't get that picture.
We'll forgive him... this time.
There was also some time at the pond with Grandma feeding the ducks.
Some messy activities like painting...
And finger painting:
I'm pretty sure chocolate fondue for lunch only happens at Grandma's house!
She also took them to a carnival and filled them with cotton candy.
And there was plenty of soda all week.
Which is probably why there were physical activities planned.
Like games:
Swimming:
More swimming:
And more swimming.
(Cooper came home with tan lines,
something I have yet to achieve for myself this summer)
Keeping them busy must have worn them out.
Movie time on Grandma's bed:
See... I told you. Worn out:
And at the day's end... bed time Bible stories with Papa.
(I love this picture.)
Thank you to my parents for having the grandkids, they had fun.
Cooper loved it and is still talking about it everyday.
I love seeing my parents make memories like these.
ALSO: For those who haven't heard, my Dad found out last week that he has prostate cancer. He'll be facing treatment/surgery in the coming weeks. (Most likely just surgery) The doctors are optimistic that the cancer is completely contained and that removal of the prostate will take care of everything. But your prayers are appreciated for Dad and our family as it all unfolds.
So sorry to hear about your Dad. Please keep everyone updated!
