Birthday Boy

One good thing about having your birthday the day after the "Snowstorm of the century"
is that Daddy worked from home so he didn't have to drive downtown in the mess.
That meant we had a leisurely morning and Cooper got to sleep in.
When he woke up and I told him it was his birthday, he was so excited.
Even though he was feeling a bit sick. His first cold of the season and it hit him on his birthday!

First things first... gifts from Mommy & Daddy.
(Wrapped in Sunday's paper. Not worth going out in a blizzard to get wrapping paper. ha)

SuperWhy!

And AlphaPig. Take a good look. The hammer, toolbox and Super Duper Computer come
out of their hands. This is the last time any of us will see them all intact. :)

He also got the book, "Thidwick the Big-Hearted Moose". One of Daddy's favorites.

Miles looks rather unimpressed by this... or maybe just sleepy.

Cooper also got a Don't Break the Ice game.

He immediately challenged Daddy to a game.

I think he just liked to smack things with the little hammer.
But he did beat Derek fair and square quite a few times!

And since Ty & Lauren ended up going to Wichita over the weekend,
they brought Cooper's gifts from the Mleynek side family.

So we got them on the webcam and he opened those gifts too.
(He got a Woody Doll to play with the Buzz Lightyear he got for Christmas...and several other fun things.)

And Aunt Mal got him the movie!

He also got to talk to his Rouse cousins on the computer. But after all that fun,
this sick birthday boy was worn out... it was back to bed for a while.
He did get to watch Mommy's iPod in bed, usually a no no.
It's his Birthday.

  1. We hope Cooper is feeling better today! At least the birthday presents made him feel a little better while he was sick.
