First Flight

We're going to go back into the archives for today's post.

First we'll go way back to July 2008. Cooper got to see Grandpa's airplane. (He's part owner anyway)

Dale made a quick trip to KC early one morning to pick up some sweet corn.

No plane rides that day... just a quick 'hello'.

Now we'll flash forward to November 2010-

The Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend was a beautiful day.

So Grandpa decided it was a good day for Cooper's first flight.

Cooper helped Grandpa look things over:

Aunt Mikiah went along and rode in the back with Cooper:

"Grandpa is a great flier." :)

Cooper had so much fun. He loved flying!

He enjoyed seeing all the other planes at the airport too:

And I included this one just because I think it's a fun shot.

This post is so long overdue cause I was waiting for Derek to give me the video footage to include.

And when he finally gave it to me I was surprised and delighted to see that he edited it together like this. He's great like that. So here is a fun little video of Cooper's first flight.

Note: In the part when Cooper is upset and asking for his Mom, (Breaks my heart! Okay, and makes me laugh.) they put him in the plane to sit while they pushed the plane out of the hanger. He misunderstood and thought he was going flying alone... poor guy. Ha.

All was good after Grandpa told him he wasn't going alone.
