Pumpkin Patch

Miles, Cooper and I went to Wichita a couple days before Derek did.
(Thanks for meeting Derek half way, Mom!)

We were there on Thursday so we were able to tag along
with cousins on their Pumpkin Patch field day.

Here's the group of kids. (Except Miles and Jonah)

And it was hard enough to get a shot with all these kids in it without adding babies. :)

Miles & Jonah spent the morning like this:

First we waited for the wagon to come pick us up and take us out to the patch:

We loaded up:

And waved at cows along the way:

Once at the patch, this nice man, (who Cooper kept asking if it was Papa!)
showed the kids a pumpkin seed, bloom, baby pumpkin etc. and explained how a pumpkin grows:

Then it was off to hunt for a pumpkin to take home:

Cooper tested out a couple...

And decided on this one:

Another nice man cleaned it off and trimmed the stem:

Then it was time to head back to the wagon:

All the kids and their pumpkins:

Mommy and Miles... who slept through most of this adventure:

Next we found a playground and spent a while playing:

Then headed to this 'underground' slide:

It went pretty fast!

A little fist pump to celebrate!

The kids enjoyed watching each other fly out of this whole:

And there were only a few collisions!

Then we headed over to the jumping pillow:

And played in a fort made out of hay bales:

Then we went into a barn that had a few animals and a loft.

And a corn bin:

Cooper's love of corn caused him to taste it...
he finally found a kind of corn he doesn't love to eat!

Then we ate the lunches we'd packed to wrap up our fun morning with cousins and friends.

  2. A lot going on there! That one of Cooper spitting out the corn is so funny. And I also love the one of Jaedyn shooting out of that slide.
