Once Miles was born we started calling family to let them know. (And shocked some of them with the announcement it was a boy... they were SURE it was a girl)
Derek's family got Cooper all ready and brought him up to the hospital within a couple hours.
Here comes the big brother!
He was so excited!
First look at his baby brother:
This was a precious moment that brought me to tears.
So proud.
Kisses for those cheeks.
Cooper brought Mommy flowers too. He's my sweet boy.
Precious. The one of Cooper meeting Miles brought some tears to my eyes as well. I guess it is one of those special mommy moments! :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how God can multiply our love...
Oh. My. Word. I have been MIA too long on this blog! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I told Anna that I continue to be baffled at the consistency in cute babies emerging from the Bauer ladies. Like...IMMEDIATE cuteness. Unbelieves!! I love love LOVE the pictures of Cooper running down the hospital hall, SO ADORABLE and totes made me laugh out loud, especially that second picture - looks like he just can't get there fast enough!! SO hilare! He looks like a little cartoon character that's saying "Here I gooooo!" Also love how the rest of the fam is just standing back as he jets away. Letting him have his moment!! haha!! Actually I have quite a few comments so I will list them out as opposed to having a Giant paragraph:
ReplyDelete1. Do not understand how your hair looks so magnificent after birthing a child. Like it looks better than how my hair looks right now and I just showered like an hour ago when I got ready for work.
2. Love that the fam dressed Cooper up ALL in KU gear! So cute! Real good color on him too.
3. Miles is SO adorable. Usually children are not cute right after being born. But he is SO cute. I think this same phenomenon happened when Cooper was born too, and as a matter of fact, I may have made the same comment to Anna about how cute he already was, just days out of the womb. How did you get them to be cute so fast?
4. Cooper looks like he is so gentle with Miles. I know a 4 year old who just got a baby brother and he was thrashing her about and always poking her. Parents always had to reprimand him. How did you get Cooper to be so gentle?
5. On that note, how do you get Cooper to smile perfectly in EVERY PICTURE. I just do not understand. Aforementioned 4 year old stares blankly into the camera any time someone wants to capture a shot.
6. LOVE the last picture with Cooper standing there with his hand on his hip like "Yep! Brought my mom some flowers!" AND so cute that your glasses + Cooper's sunglasses are on the bed.
7. The hospital looks SO nice. Did you love your time there? The hardwood floors look great. Also, those blankets they put Miles in look awesome. Plus a free little cap?! That is so cute. Did they serve you good food there? Congratulations to your adorable family!! Will be commenting more often. Can't wait to see more pics!
These pictures of Cooper meeting his little brother are so sweet! :)
