Derek's family decided last minute to drive up to see us on his birthday.

ReplyDelete2. i love the little girl mikiah who is always holding a dog! in the first picture i was a little thrown off, as she is holding cooper and not a dog. but then further down on the page, she proves herself yet again and is holding a dog in two pictures! she is so cute. is this dog a relative of the dog your sister has? or is this kind of dog just really popular in kansas? and is that your dog, and you only take pictures when mikiah is around because she is the only one that plays with the dog? or is it her dog and she just brings her everywhere?
3. that chocolate cake looks amaaaazing. did you make that? what sort of frosting is on there? it doesn't look like your typical frosting-in-a-can. it looks like maybe you melted it and poured it on and that is how it got the smooth consistency on the outside? or is that frosting-in-a-can refrigerated and that is how it gets its look? how did you get the cake to be so moist? do you have your own special recipe? have you ever had portillo's chocolate cake, because that looks sort of similar (except yours looks more delicious) and i believe they put sour cream in the batter to make it moist. is that your secret? and is that shaved chocolate on the top that i see? you always do things so fancy!
oh, one more thing - i LOVE cooper in that white tank top! can you just have a post where he is walking around in the tank top and some shorts? so cute. maybe eating some mac & cheese so i can see how you prepare it again? thanks!
