A Picture, a Greenhouse and a Rain Delay

Have I mentioned we spend a significant amount of time at the baseball diamonds? :)
Cooper had picture day recently...

(Miles had one the week before)

He poses like a pro...  like he's had his photo taken often or something. 😏

Anyway, picture day was HOT!  We got to go inside for the photo part, which was nice to cool off.  Then we went back out for Cooper's game.  Derek was out of town that day, so I was solo with the boys.  I had the idea to set up our big umbrella for shade.

Which worked pretty well to watch the game and enjoy snacks.

Until the humidity started to give the space under the umbrella a 'greenhouse effect'.  Eww.

About half way through the game, the clouds rolled in and we heard thunder.  I won't lie, I thought it was a sure shot they'd cancel and we could go home...

But while we packed up our things, it was announced they would just take a 20 minute delay and see if it blew over.

We we all headed inside to the bowling center/arcade to wait it out.

And play games... without actually playing games. haha.

One kid did have a pile of quarters and all the other kids gathered around to watch him waste spend them.

Then, the storms had blown over and all that was left was a light sprinkle. So we used our umbrella for its intended purpose and watched the rest of the game.

Then stopped for slushes on the way home to cool off!
