Japanese Sushi

While studying Japan in school, our curriculum suggested trying some Japanese food, specifically naming sushi.  Yep!  What a great excuse reason to have sushi! 😀  We opted for the fast, budget friendly version...  from HyVee!  The boys checked them out and decided on a couple to try, nothing raw.

Owen got distracted by an owl Beanie Boo.

When we got home, chopsticks were prepared.

Then they went for it!  They've both tried at least a bite or two before off of my plate, but still weren't sure they'd like it.

Miles ended up giving up on the chopsticks.  And it didn't take long before he gave up on the sushi.  He didn't hate it, but he didn't love it. 

Cooper did enjoy it, shown here mid-thumbs-up while chewing. 

So while not exactly authentic Japanese...  still a success in my book!
