Easter Eggs

We colored Easter Eggs together, an annual event that my boys always look forward to.  And Owen caught onto the excited pretty quickly.  ha.

I'd grabbed some "Decorating Easter Eggs" marked down to $.25 after Easter last year.  So we gave them a try, along with some hardboiled actual, real, chicken eggs.

We found that the decorating imposter eggs floated, which made it a little tricky to let them soak in the dye.  But Owen didn't care, he had fun playing in the dye.  ๐Ÿ˜

I'd also grabbed these last year: chalkboard eggs.

I wasn't as excited about them, and they turned out to be fun for all of us.

Except that it wiped off, duh...  they were great.

And because it wiped off, you can draw on them over and over.

Owen even liked these.

Then he dipped his chalk in the dye.

And kept right on going.

I drew a train on one for him and it was then his favorite egg. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Until he tried to eat it.

The fun lasted quite a while.

Moving from one thing to the next.  The little stickers that came with the dye kit worked really well on the imposter eggs.

Unless you try to eat them.

Owen really just wanted to play with them!

He was the first to grow tired of eggs anyway.  Cooper and Miles finished things up nicely though.

The real eggs took the color much better...

...but the impostor eggs were great for young toddlers! ๐Ÿ˜‚
