Going Home

We felt very well taken care of and were happy with our care at the hospital.
But... Derek's cot wasn't quite home.  :)

And it was time for Owen to experience a real crib.

And there were a couple big brothers at home excitedly anticipating their baby brother coming home.

Owen had to have his circumcision before we were discharged.
Poor guy needed some extra snuggles when he returned from his procedure.

And was a little sleepy from the meds to help it be more comfortable.

But woke up and let me know he wasn't happy about me dressing him to go home.

We had to wait a couple hours for Owen to be able to leave but finally got the okay.

Then we waited what seemed like forever for someone to show up with a wheelchair to take us out to our car!  Ha...  but we were finally on the road and headed home with our baby!

Cooper & Miles could hardly contain themselves when we pulled in.

And were excited to show me the flowers they had for me inside.
(Even if I heard someone say, "We only like flowers because they help bugs live!)

Miles wanted to show Owen some clothes they (Grandma!) had picked up for him.

And they really wanted to show Owen his room.

They requested I lay him in his crib.

And Miles introduced Owen to his elephant the boys picked out months before.

Cooper, of course, wanted to hold Owen.

And kiss Owen.

And look at Owen.  :)

We hadn't been home long when we said Goodbye to Derek's Dad.  He left Debbie to stay longer and headed home to Wichita since he had to work the next day.

We were ready to settle in at home as a family of five.

And these proud big brothers were thrilled to have our baby at home!
