We got up the next morning ready to decorate our tree.
...but woke up to this.
The tree had fallen over during the night dumping the dirty tree water all over.
Derek worked to set it up again, but we found this the next morning.
The tree was banished back out into the great outdoors where I threatened to put lights on it and leave it like it belonged in our front yard. (We have friends that did this!) While it was in 'time out' the boys got out their little tree to decorate.
G'ma Debbie got this tree for Cooper years ago and it belongs in their room.
They get to decorate it all by themselves and it turned out wonderful.
We decided the only thing we could do for the big tree was cut more branches off the bottom and just have it look sparse. Better than having it lay on a wet living room floor, right? Much to my delight, it had one good side that wasn't all that bare. The branches are a little high from the ground, but our tree is standing in our living room!
And it even finally got some decorations.
Although they're mostly at the bottom. :)
