Turns out, the week we spent in Oklahoma house hunting was pretty emotional and draining. We've never needed to find a home with any urgency before, and were starting to wonder if we'd have to make a second trip back and look again. As it does, our home search evolved throughout the week, and just when we had a sense of hopelessness... we found it! We'd prayed all week for God to give us a sense of peace when we walked into 'the one', and we finally found it. Then came the whole process of making an offer and negotiating price. We also spent that day doing laundry at the hotel.
Not the most fun way to kill time waiting to hear about an offer... but at least we weren't (too) idle.
After some negotiations with the sellers, we had an offer accepted by late that night! We're excited and thankful to be in the process of purchasing a home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma! Not to mention, the fact that our Illinois home was already under contract made the contract on this one easier. Thanks, God!
