Friday, we left Derek's Mom, Debbie, in charge of everything at home (including picking the big boys up from school) and Me, Derek, Marshall, Ashley headed to Kankakee, Illinois for our first show of the weekend. It was a couple hour drive, we got there, unloaded and set up.
Then we waited around for show time. The venue was in the back of an art gallery.
So we checked out some of the art.
We were the third of four bands, so we listened to the others, then it was our turn.
It was a small crowd, which was just fine with me since it was my first experience like that ever!

The last band was Desiring Dead Flesh, which we'd seen at AudioFeed in July. They do a fun and rowdy show... Derek decided to join in with a pogo stick a couple times!

They always end their show by having the audience bang on the drums with them!
What a fun night! I enjoyed it so much... and was excited that we had two more shows that weekend!
