xPPx Mini Tour Weekend - Bloomington Show

The middle show of our three show Parental Petulance mini-tour was the closest to home, in Bloomington, Illinois.  There were three main bands on the tour: Parental Petulance - Desiring Dead Flesh - The Magnifiers. Each of us took care of setting up and "Hosting" one of the venues.  This was the one Marshall set up.

We took Cooper and Miles to this show, they turned out to be great roadies. :)

After we unloaded, Derek helped them get into their Halloween Costumes.

Meanwhile, back at home, G'ma Debbie got Mason and Owen bathed and ready for bed.

Cooper debuted his "Cooper 3000 Version 2.0" costume.

And since it was dark inside for the shows, it's lights showed up nicely!

Miles was a ground controller for this event.

He wears the ear protection for xPPx shows anyway, so we wanted a costume that incorporated them.
Too bad Walmart.com lost his reflective vest in the site-to-store area...  an orange hunting vest worked, but wasn't quite as fun.

Derek was a (huge) dinosaur.  And I was a monster.

Marshall was Batman...  and Ashely was, yes, a poop emoji. 😂
All of these things have something to do with our song lyrics.

We grabbed a group photo too, Levi was The Joker and Knox was a Ninja Turtle, though they weren't completely in costume at this point in the night.

We played third in the line up for this show.

It was a hyper crowd and so much fun!

The owner of the venue (Squid Ink Tattoo) took this video, it made me laugh when I watched it, because it shows just a little of the "parenting while playing in a punk band" aspect of Parental Petulance. :)

And, the same as the last show, if you want to watch the entire show, here is that video too.

By the time the last band took the stage it was around midnight.  Miles walked up to Derek and said he was sleepy. Derek picked him up and Miles immediately fell asleep on Derek's shoulder.

Cooper sat down and rested his head and was soon asleep sitting up!

When the show was over, Cooper woke up.  But even though Knox and Levi tried to wake Miles up, he slept through all of the tear down and loading the trailer.  He remembers NOTHING after falling asleep on Derek's shoulder until morning!!! 😂  Derek carried him to the car, and in to his bed, he never woke up.

One of Derek's co-workers came to the show that night and shot some footage for us.  Derek edited it together to make this music video for "Dinos in the Dishwasher".

Speaking of editing...   Ashely sent us this a couple weeks after the show.

Hahahahaha!   The whole gang!
