Big Boy Bed

So, this happened:

Yep, the crib can no longer contain Owen.  So instead of letting him continue to climb over the rail and risk injury... 😳   We decided to convert his crib to the toddler bed.

Off came the side.

In came Owen to check it out.

He much preferred this small rail for climbing over! 😀

He also helped Daddy with the process.

And was pretty pleased with the end result.

At bedtime he wasn't quite as sure about it.

But after putting him back in bed several times, he slept well!

Nap time the next day was a different story...
He kept getting up to play when he should have been sleeping.

Eventually I turned the bed around so he couldn't get out.  That back side is higher and he couldn't get over it. HA.

My plan was successful.

So was me turning the bed back around while he was sleeping.

It's been a couple weeks now with the toddler bed and Owen has made friends with it.

And especially likes that his binkies are more accessible again.

He still fights its once in a while, but for most part goes right to sleep.

Although, judging by the tracks on the floor and his bike being moved, I'm pretty sure he rode around his room a while before he went to sleep on this particular day! 😂

He still rolls around a lot or falls asleep sideways...

And shortly after I found him like this, I heard a "THUMP" and he'd fallen out.

That's only happened that once though, most of the time he just sleeps.

His binkies are still a must.  And he almost always has them between his fingers like this. 💙

Owen like it when we do bedtime prayer in his room and his big brothers pile into bed with him.

Several days last week, Owen 'disappeared' around 10:30-11am and I found he'd put himself down for an early nap!  He fell asleep two of those days, and one he laughed at me taking his picture then got up to play again.

Big Boy Bed = Success!
