Mleynek Moments - Reunion Weekend IX

On our way home from Kearney we drove right through Lincoln.
So we called Grandpa Secor to see if he wanted to meet us for ice cream.
Of course he did... and even had a gift card to Lazlo's to use for it! :)

After we said goodbye to Grandpa we headed to get gas... but... we didn't make it.
We had to call Grandpa and have him rescue us! He brought us his gas can with gas in it...

But the car still wouldn't start so Grandpa took us to the gas station less than a mile away.
Cooper and I waited there while Derek and Grandpa went back with more gas.

Cooper made a new friend while we waited:

And tried on some sunglasses:

Watched some Blues Clues:

Did the Shim Sham:

And took pictures of me:

Although most of them look like this! :)

It took a little while to get the car started. Derek rolled the car toward the ditch so the front end was facing down since it had been pointed uphill. But by then the battery was dead from trying to start it. So they jumped it and it finally started. The ordeal did cause a couple hour delay but we finally got back on the road. It was a silly mistake, but it was a good place for it to happen.
Thanks again, Grandpa, for rescuing us!!

And then we made it home... concluding this installment of "Mleynek Moments".
Thanks for following along!

  1. That's a great smile Cooper has in that first picture. Boy are you lucky to have run out of gas in Lincoln. Grandpa is a handy guy to have around.
